Terms of Use
Updated 2026-09-14
These terms govern use of the MetaSyntra research service. Read them with the Privacy Notice, Cancellations and Refunds policy and Research Disclaimer. If you have questions about the operator or these terms, contact the MetaSyntra administrator before using the service.
Accounts and permitted use
You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms, and have authority to act for any organisation whose data you submit. Provide accurate account information, verify your email and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for use through your account and should report suspected unauthorised access.
Use the service for lawful research. Do not upload patient identifiers, unlawfully obtained data, malicious files or content that infringes others’ rights. Do not bypass quotas, interfere with the service, attempt access to another user’s account or use the service to make clinical decisions.
Your data and results
You retain rights you hold in your uploads. You authorise the processing, storage and administrative access described in the Privacy Notice to provide the service and support it. You must have permission to upload, analyse and share the material. You may download and use your results subject to the rights in the source data and applicable law. The service does not certify a study’s quality, validate publication claims or grant rights to third-party materials.
Research and AI limitations
You are responsible for checking data mappings, repeated-study assumptions, methods, statistical suitability, warnings and generated outputs. AI suggestions are optional and may be wrong. R performs the calculations, but a successful run is not evidence that the analysis is scientifically appropriate. No output is a diagnosis, treatment recommendation or substitute for qualified review.
Plans, usage and availability
The pricing page and checkout show the price, currency, allowance and renewal terms that apply. Free access does not require payment-card details. Pro is a recurring subscription when enabled. One-time credits fund extra analyses after an included allowance. Each submitted run or rerun counts, including failed and cancelled work; saving a draft does not count as a submitted analysis. Administrators may grant a documented allowance reset or custom limit. Such adjustments do not refund payments or change subscription terms.
Monthly included allowances reset by UTC calendar month; subscription billing renews on its billing schedule. Infrastructure limits, maintenance, provider outages and fair-use or security controls can affect availability. Do not rely on the service as your only copy of research data. Download files before the retention date displayed in your workspace.
Cancellation, refunds and account closure
Manage subscriptions through Plans & billing. Cancellation normally stops renewal at the end of the paid period; closing your account requests immediate cancellation and removes saved files. See the refund policy. We may suspend access for abuse, security risks or legal requirements. Suspending access alone does not automatically cancel a paid subscription.
Responsibility and changes
The service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, publication acceptance or suitability for a particular research purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes statutory consumer rights or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may update the service or these terms; material changes will be dated and notified where required. Contact us first about a dispute so we can investigate. No mandatory arbitration, jurisdiction selection or waiver of statutory rights is imposed by these pages.
